We can design and construct your basement using our own directly employed staff and hand it over, ready for occupation within the agreed time frame.

Q?Do I require Planning permission?

The majority of basement conversions do require planning consent. Sensitively designed basements will normally receive planning approval and they are generally regarded by planners as a sensible solution to diminishing land resources.

Q?Will I need to move out?
A.

Under normal circumstances it is not necessary to vacate the property, however there are sometimes exceptions to this rule.

Q?Will my basement have natural daylight?
A.

Daylight is essential for any successful basement project. Under normal circumstances natural daylight is provided at the front and rear of the property via light wells or similar structures.

Q?Is it possible to take a basement construction beyond the footprint of the house?
A.

Yes, Basements 4 You can continue the construction of a basement below front or rear gardens, ground conditions allowing.

Q?Is it possible to create a basement of more than one level?
A.

Yes, subject to ground conditions and the location of the property.

Q?Must there be an existing basement?
A.

No, in most case we can construct a basement at any property.

Q?Will my foundations need underpinning?
A.

Underpinning is normally required to all basements.

Q?I have a solid ground floor. Can I still have a basement?
A.

The presence of a solid ground bearing concrete floor slab will not prevent the construction of a basement.

Q?How is the work supervised?
A.

Each project has a dedicated Project Manager who will oversee the work carried out, from initial ground breaking through to final fit and finish.
